Kakatiya University Ph.D / M.Phil Admissions 2017-18:
Kakatiya University M.Phil/Ph.D Entrance Test 2017 Notification has been issued by the KU, Warangal Officials on 05th February 2017 and inviting applications through Online mode from the eligible candidates for M.Phil/Ph.D Entrance Test 2017 in various subjects under different faculties of Kakatiya University. Last date to apply is February 28 without a late fee and with a late fee of Rs.500/-upto March 10. The MPhil entrance test will be held on March 24 and PhD test on March 25.
KU Ph.D / M.Phil Entrance Test Notification 2017
Ph.D. & M.Phil. Entrance Test 2017-18 is being conducted by Kakatiya University for admission into Ph.D. & M.Phil. Programmes.
a. Ph.D. Programoffered by it in different subjects in the faculties of Arts ,Commerce & Business Management, Education, Engineering & Technology, Law, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Science and Social Sciences
b. M.Phil. Program offered by Kakatiya University in the subjects viz.,Economics, History, Human Recourse Management, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology,Telugu, English, Commerce & Business Management and Education
Eligibility Criteria:
a) To be eligible to appear for Ph.D & M.phil. Entrance Test being conducted by Kakatiya University in the subjects pertaining to faculties mentioned, the candidate must have passed the Master’s degree in the concerned subject with a minimum of 55% of marks (in case of SC/ST/PH candidates 50% of marks)
Note-1: The candidates who fulfill the above eligible criteria should only apply, if not , they will not be considered at the time of admissions in Ph.D. and M.Phil. even if they qualify in Entrance test.
Note-2: The candidates those pursuing post graduate degree and not completed are not eligible.
Eligibility and Admission of Candidates
b) The candidates must have been awarded a research fellowship through a national level test such as UGC-CSIR/ ICMR / ICAR /DBT /JRF fellowship/ and Teacher Fellowship applicants subject to clearance by the RAC, KU.(Or) The candidates, who do not have any fellowship and have cleared qualifying exams i.e., NET/ TSET/ GATE/ JEST etc., are directly admitted into Ph.D. programme subject to clearance by the RAC, KU. (Or) The candidates with ICSSR/ RGNF/ MANF/DST-INSPIRE/ NIN- JRF/ICAR/IICT-JRF awarded by national level bodies/ institutes, Project Fellows etc., having NET/TSET/GATE/Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) or any other equivalent Ph.D. eligibility test qualification are also admitted directly to the Ph.D. programme. Those who have any fellowship but do not have any eligibility test qualification are also admitted directly into Ph.D., subject to the condition that they must clear NET/TSET/ other Ph.D. Eligibility Test as decided by RAC within two years from the date of admission into Ph.D. programme.
c.The candidate with an M.Phil. or an equivalent degree from a recognized University shall be eligible for direct admission into Ph.D. programme.
2. The duration of the Test is 90 minutes (1 ½ hrs).
3. The paper consists of 100 objective type questions (multiple choice only).
Nature of test: Objective type with multiple choice questions.
Medium of eligibility test: The medium of eligibility test will be English only except for language subjects.
Syllabus for Entrance Test: The syllabus and model paper, in various subjects for Ph.D. & M.Phil. Entrance Test is available in the KU Websites: www.kakatiya.ac.in, www.kudoa.in

Qualifying Marks:
The minimum marks for qualifying the M.Phil. and Ph.D. Test shall be 40% in case of open category candidates, 35% in case of BC Candidates and no qualifying marks in case of SC/ST/PH category candidates.
Rules and Regulations:
The admission to M.Phil. & Ph.D. course is subject to the rules and regulations in force from time to time. Qualifying the M.Phil. & Ph.D. Entrance Test does not guarantee admission to M.Phil. & Ph.D. Programme. The admission to Ph.D Programme is subject to availability of vacancies with the Supervisors in the concerned departments.
Hall Ticket Procedure:
The Hall Tickets will be made available in the KU Website: www.kakatiya.ac.in, www.kudoa.in and Email : director.pgadmissions@kakatiya.ac.in . The candidates have to download the Hall Tickets and affix a latest passport size photograph (which is exactly similar to the one uploaded in the Online Application) in the space provided and get it attested by Gazetted Officer / Principal of College. Without Hall Ticket, the candidate is not allowed to appear for Entrance Test.
