GOVERNMENT OF ANDHRA PRADESH ABSTRACT CA,F&CS Department – Supply of Rice @Rs.1/- per K.G to the (108) Girls Hostels located in the premises of Model Schools under the control of Education Department on par with the institutions listed in G.O.MS.NO.11, CA,F&CS Department dated.7/5/2013 – Orders – Issued.

2. From the Commissioner of School Education & Ex.Officio Project Director, RMSA, Rc.No.233/RMSA/2014, dated.4/6/2015 and 25-06-2017,
The Commissioner of School Education & Ex.Officio State Project Director, RMSA, Hyderabad in the reference 2nd read above has requested the Civil Supplies Department for supply of rice @Rs.1/- per Kg to the 108 Girls Hostels at par with the Hostels running by various departments under PDS as it is a centrally sponsored scheme running under the control of School Education Department duly extending the benefit to these Hostels in terms of G.O. vide reference first read above.
2. The Civil Supplies Department has examined the proposal and expressed its inability to supply the rice @Rs.1/- per K.G. since the budget allocation to the Rice Subsidy is not sufficient to meet the expenditure involved in supply of rice @Rs.1/- per K.G. around Rs.6.50 Crore per annum. The Finance Department advised the Civil Supplies Department to get additional funds from the welfare departments to the extent possible to reduce the deficit of Civil Supplies Department.
3. After consideration of the entire issue and the discussions held with the Education Department, the present academic year has already commenced. To avoid difficulty in making food arrangements, the Civil Supplies Department is agreed to supply rice @Rs.1/- per K.G. to the 108 Girls Hostels located in the premises of A.P. Model Schools subject to condition that the subsidy burden around Rs.6.50 Crores shall be born by the Scholl Education Department (RMSA).
4. The Commissioner of Civil Supplies , A.P. Vijayawada / the Commissioner of School Education & Ex.Officio State Project Director, RMSA, AP, Vijayawada/ Vice Chairman and Managing Director, APSCSCL, Hyderabad is requested to issue necessary instructions to the district authorities for supply of Rice to the 108 Girls Hostels @Rs.1/- per K.G. specified by the Education Department
